I arrived at night and jumped into a waiting taxi to my hotel.
Hotel was a cosy one and I could find food easily across the street.
Food was affordably priced even though it was in Euros so I was taken by surprise.
Thiswould bethe third leg of my tour.
A little tired yet was excited on what to expect.
I came here with least expectation as I only have one full day to make the best of my visit.
Therefore I decided to try the hop on hop off bus for a change.
It was an early morning rise as I made my way to the bus stop.
I have a few places in mind on where to visit and was hoping to make the best of it.
The city was uniquely different compared to my previous one.
Many historical buildings adorned the colourful city and many more historical sites would leave your itenary totally full. So you really need to pick your choices unless you are planning to stay there for a week.
Visiting this city is never complete without the Berlin Wall from the historical perspective.
Therefore it was only natural that I find time to explore the place, snapped some photos and take a walk around.
Street art decorated most of the walls and there was a need to take a slow walk to appreciate the creative juices being displayed here.
There were a few buildings nearby that had street art painted on it.
The air of creativity could be felt around the place.
Many posed for photographers at their own choices of walls which would take some time if one decided to walk from one end of the wall to the other.
I took a few and ventured next to the historical site of Check Point Charlie.
Almost everywhere you walked has a rich history behind it.
The best about the hop on hop off was that it was stopping at all the historical sites that I was looking forward to.
During lunch break I had lunch in a place none other than Einstein ‘s Cafe.
And you wonder whether you would become smarter after drinking the coffee there.
One of my favorite place is the Berlin Cathedral. Architecture is first class and when you entered the cathedral you could feel a sense of tranquility just enveloped you without any hesitation.
Exploring the cathedral has been a reinvigorating experience.
Brandenburg Gate is a majestic sight indeed yet it became even more of a greater spectacle during sunset.
So indeed you need to be there until the nightfall to capture the best moments in time.
Many more wonderful places to visit however due to time constraint I only managed to visit the ones in my list.
Even the next day when I was on my way elsewhere I need to request the taxi driver to stop somewhere do that I could find time to take a photo of the tower which itself was full of historical events.
Berlin is one place that a combination of a city with modern unique buildings yet they are so rich with historical footprints that it felt like taking history lessons at almost every nook and corner that you stepped into.
