Sekolah Wawasan Workshop
It was a privilege to be invited to conduct a workshop with the students of Sekolah Wawasan Tun Tan Cheng Lock using my book A Man and his Wallet & other stories. 
I had the privilege of conducting three separate workshops with students from different classes. 
Creative outbursts could be seen from the student s response as we worked on different kind of games yet it allowed the students to explore various possibilities with the options in hand.
School teachers were also extremely helpful and I hope that the students learnt as much as I do in such a short period of time.

A Man and his Wallet & other stories were used as part of a tool in conducting motivational courses for the young. The book explores the all-encompassing themes of unconditional love, strength of family bonds, righteous moral values, respect for the elderly, passion for life and the inherent potential 
of self-belief.
A number of talks were held in international school and also primary schools in the hope that it will generate the creative spark among the students while instilling some form of understanding about life based on the stories in the book itself.
It is very much hoped that A Man and his Wallet & other stories will continue to generate some form of interest among the students while participating in the motivational talks. The young generation, after all, is the torch bearer of
tomorrow.
Alex Tan was able to share his experience and conduct motivational talks in Kampar International School, Sekolah Wawasan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, St Xavier’s Institution and others as well.
The experience has been truly unique as dealing with the young allows us a rare insight into a world full of innocence yet allows us to marvel at their creative prowess. Sometimes children can indeed teach us valuable lessons in life. We are all students irrespective of age, as long as our hearts and mind are receptive and mature enough to embrace new ideas and are still very much hungry for knowledge.

LiveFree Creative is responsible for the publication of A Man and his Wallet & other stories in 2016 and was selected as one of the 50 Best Malaysian Titles fot International Rights 2016/17 by Majlis Buku Kebangsaan Malaysia. A Man and his Wallet & other stories was exhibited at the Malaysian Pavillion during the Frankfurt Book Festival in 2016. 
The book launch for A Man and His Wallet & other stories was held in International Medical University (IMU) on 28th July 2016 and the guest of honour was Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Abu Bakar Suleiman, chairman of IMU. Tan Sri Prof Datuk Dr. Augustine Ong, President of MINDS, Datuk Ramli Ibrahim, chairman of Sutra Foundation and Dato; Seri Yap Chong Lee, Executive Director of SHL were also present at the auspicious occasion.
LiveFree Creative second project Love Will Find You & other stories, primarily on the incomprehensible subject of love. It is expected to be released in 2018. 
The third project is an on going project entitled Protes, a novel written in Bahasa Malaysia yet the date of released has still not being confirmed yet.
LiveFree Creative’s projects includes literature works in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Besides these projects, LiveFree is working on multiple projects that includes Physics and Business based on Alex Tan’s years of experience being a researcher during his postgraduate years and his teaching experience while being a scholarship holder in University Malaya. His years of involvement in the corporate sector will add an extra dimension when he tackles the subject of business in his literary escapade.

A leading Malaysian based manufacturer with bedhead panel, pendants (to name a few) as part of their product portfolio has also acquired the esteemed Trumpf distributorship which are famous for their range of Operating Table, Light and Pendant. The collaboration of Trumpf and Johnson Medical in Malaysia is expected to usher in a new era of expansion in terms of possibilities. It is a great honour to be part of this adventure.
